The MaPrimeRénov component for replacing fossil fuel boilers has a bonus until the end of the year.
MaPrimeRénov bonus, which, although temporary, is welcome. For ecological reasons, the installation of new oil boilers will be permanently banned from 1 July.
Meanwhile, heating oil remains the country’s third-most common heating energy after urban gas and electricity, said Audrey Zermati, director of strategy at Effy, which specializes in supporting individuals in their energy renovation projects.

And if its share tends to decline over the last forty years, it persists mainly in rural and peri-urban areas. On the other hand, metropolises have long since switched to natural gas, then to electricity.
MaPrimRenov ‘764,000 files in 2021
The total aid will be able to climb to 9,000 euros, said the Minister for Ecological Transition Barbara Pompili on Twitter after announcing the resilience plan. In her calculations, the Minister combines two main public subsidies for renovation: MaPrimRenov and the system of energy saving certificates (EEC).
We are increasing #MaPrimeRenov EUR 1 000 to replace fossil fuel boilers with solutions such as heat pumps.
The total assistance can reach up to EUR 9,000.

MaPrimeRénov: This obliges energy operators (EDF, Engie, TotalEnergies, etc.) to encourage their customers to work or change their heating system in order to improve the energy efficiency of their homes. In exchange, these operators receive these famous ESCs as many good points for meeting the goals.
Both facilities, which are subject to resource conditions, are the 9,000 euros accessible only to so-called very modest households. The EWC will then pay € 4,000; and it is MaPrimRénov, which ranges from 4000 to 5000 euros. The more resources grow, the more aid decreases. Until it disappears completely at the highest incomes, such as the above € 79,000 reference tax revenue for the household of four people living in the Paris region.
In 2021, according to Anah (National Housing Agency), which administers the system, 764,732 MaPrimeRénov files were submitted. In the end, 644,073 bonuses were awarded and 372,828 projects with a total bonus budget of just over € 2 billion were implemented and reimbursed.
Don’t forget to include the removal of the old boiler!

The combination of two devices, MaPrimRénov and CEE, makes it possible to reduce the remaining part to be paid, ie the amount that the household has to pay after deducting the aid. If we take the example of an air-to-water heat pump, a model that can replace an oil or gas boiler, explains Audrey Zermati, for a house with an area of about 100 square meters, its average price is around 12,000 euros. With a total state aid of € 9,000, the average remaining fee is € 3,000, still for a very modest household.
Note that the cost of dismantling an old boiler must also be included in the budget. In addition to purchasing replacement equipment, MaPrimeRénov also supports this step. Expect an average of 1,200 euros in aid, says Effy. When the total cost of the intervention is 1500 euros. Households must include at least an extra € 300 in their budgets.
