Lots of dry Beaufort sausages withdrawn

Even if the sun invites you to a good aperitif, avoid these sausages. Salmonella found in batches of Beaufort dry sausages can cause serious health problems. Carrefour also promises to return the money to everyone who has purchased the products covered by this convening campaign.

The dry sausage lots in question were manufactured by Ogier. They are sold in plastic packaging with orange and black labels. The expiry date stated on the first batch was 18 July 2022. For the second batch, it should be possible to store until 19 July.

This recall applies to batches 13922 and 14022. They have the following product identification numbers: 3498301003320 and 3498301003320.

Symptoms should appear within three days

Salmonella is a bacterium that causes a disease called salmonellosis. The symptoms are quite severe. We are talking about diarrhea, vomiting, headaches and fever. All of this usually occurs 6 to 72 hours after consuming the contaminated product.

“These symptoms may be more pronounced in young children, pregnant women, immunocompromised individuals and the elderly. People who have consumed these products and who have these symptoms are encouraged to consult their doctor and report this consumption, ”says Rappel Conso.

In France, this product was sold by many Carrefour stores. If you ate these sausages and you did not get sick the following week, there is no need to worry. Food scandals have been following each other since April.

We remember the scandal caused by Buitoni’s Fraîch’Up frozen pizzas and Kinder chocolates. Although salmonella was mentioned, there is no connection between these cases.

The nine-month-old girl was contaminated with pizzas

If Ferrero chocolates recalled the presence of salmonella in its Belgian factory in Arlon, Pizzas Buitoni are singled out because of a bacterium called E. coli. Since the beginning of the pizza scandal, more than 50 cases of poisoning have been reported in France.

Inaïa, a nine-month-old girl, is currently living between death and death after her family consumed these famous pizzas in February. Her case is quite strange because the child did not consume Pizza Buitoni itself. According to specialists, she was not sick of eating pizza. The poisoning did not come from breast milk either, but probably from the mother’s touch.

In addition to Inaïi, her mother and her 22-month-old sister fell ill with this pizza. The nine-month-old child was brought to the emergency room in Beauvais on February 18, 2022. He was then taken to hospital in Amiens. The girl underwent three surgeries.

She remained unconscious for three weeks. The girl did not return home until April 4. Since then, Inaïa has been closely monitored. The physiotherapist comes twice a week. Doctors fear that his kidneys will retain the consequences of this unfortunate episode.

“Your child is indeed one of a group of cases in which we have identified a connection with the consumption of Fraîch’Up pizza from the Buitoni brand,” the Regional Health Office told them in a letter sent to them on April 6, 2022.

This confirmation allowed the family to file a complaint against the mark on April 7, 2022.

“It simply came to our notice then [Buitoni] to recognize their wrongs and understand how we almost lost our daughter because of a simple pizza, ”says the mother of the family.

It should be noted that Hauts-de-France was the region most affected by E. coli contamination.
