Mercato: Manchester City takes action for OM priority!

Isaak Touré, announced as one of Pablo Longorio’s priority songs, also courts other clubs, not least. Manchester City seems to have clearly entered the dance, as the newspaper l’Equipe revealed this Friday.

By finishing the championship on the podium, Olympique de Marseille qualified directly for the Champions League. Marseille leaders must now activate to strengthen Jorge Sampaoli’s team. At work for several weeks already during the summer transfer period, it seemed that the president of the Olympic Games had advanced in the priority defense file of Isaac Touré. OM seemed to be in the best position to attract defender Le Havre, who was even seen in the bays of the Orange Vélodrome. Today, however, it seems that the Marseille club is no longer alone in the filing cabinet and that we will have to beware of the competition.

Manchester City enters the dance!

We recently learned that Lyon was also there. In the columns of the newspaper l’Equipe this sale we can read that Touré went to Manchester at the invitation of the City to visit the facilities of the reigning champion. The English plan to recruit the latter this summer to lend him immediately, certainly to Troyes, to one of their partner clubs. HAC expects at least 5 million euros for its young 19-year-old defender with a contract by 2023.

This week, OM President Pablo Longoria set out the main lines of the Olympic transfer period during an interview with RMC Sport.

“Normally, I don’t like to talk about individual situations. The transition period is important, we have to improve the staff, we have to be demanding. Players left must be replaced. We want a short staff so that the players take turns. But our goal is to build a logical project. A few weeks ago, we started working on several files, in the attack, in the middle of the backup with the departure of Kamara. We are thinking about how to improve the workforce. Who can arrive at OM? In France, we like the transfer window more and more. It’s something Italian. I can’t give names. We work in a club. We’re discussing Sampaoli. What we can promise is a lot of work to increase the quality of the workforce. (…) It is very important to be competitive in the Champions League. That is one of our goals. We know the historical difficulty of the French clubs that qualified in C1 for chain competitions, between the championship, the Champions League … The level of difficulty of the Champions League, not only physical, but especially mental, is very important. You have to be well mentally prepared to be competitive in the Champions League and regularly in the league. It will therefore be important to have players who meet the requirements of the club. Jorge Sampaoli’s comments don’t bother me. They reflect the level of requirements that we also have internally. ” Pablo Longoria – source: RMC (25.05.2022)
